It's a popular spot for rock pooling, too, with interesting sea creatures such as crabs, lobsters, and starfish to be found. The beach is accessible via a steep path from the nearby village of Hartland, or via a road from the nearby village of Bideford. There are no facilities on the beach, so visitors should come prepared with food and drink, as well as sun protection and appropriate clothing. There is a pay and display car park at the entrance to the beach.
