Things to see and do near Exmouth Beach

If you're planning a visit to Exmouth Beach, you'll find that there are plenty of things to see and do in the surrounding area. Here are just a few ideas to help you make the most of your trip.

  • Beach Activities – Exmouth Beach is the longest beach in Devon, measuring two miles in length. It offers plenty of activities from swimming to sandcastle building and kite flying.
  • Visit the Lifeboat Station – Exmouth's RNLI lifeboat station is a few minutes walk from the beach. Take a tour of the station and learn about Exmouth's part in the history of sea rescues.
  • Spot Wildlife – Exmouth Beach is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, seals, dolphins, and even whales. Take a walk along the beach and look out for these creatures.
  • Take a Boat Trip – There are a number of boat trips that depart from Exmouth Beach. Take a leisurely cruise along the coast and enjoy the views.

  • Visit the Grand Western Canal – The Grand Western Canal runs from Tiverton to Exmouth and is a great place for a leisurely stroll. Look out for the various wildlife that lives in and around the canal.
